Artist Statement​

 

It feels so good to create wonders of unbelievable destiny, like building up the art "out of scratches!"

The feeling of painting comes out instinctively from my hands without any prior plans, drafts or thoughts in my mind. I draw based on my "senses and emotions" on paper, glass, wood, linen, sea beach wood, garbage wood panels, etc. All with a complete free mindset; releasing happiness and pain on my canvas all at the same time.

Biography

Anton W. Hersche was born in year 1957 in "the city of art" Basel, Switzerland and he has been practicing his wild art skills for more than 50 years; in parallel to his professional career as a ex-banker and ex-entrepreneur all over the world in Switzerland, Germany, USA, Singapore and Japan (lived here for 25 years). In 2021, after retiring from his professional life, Anton is finally committing 100% of his time to creating contemporary art. All of his work can be seen on his website at www.antonhersche.com

 

Influences

My work draws inspiration from aesthetics of Basler Fasnacht and in native arts of the American Indians and Aboriginals of Australia. By following the scratches of materials that bear traces of emotion ranging from pain to satisfaction.

Artist Statement

 

スクラッチ（キズ）からアートを創り上げていき、信じられないような運命の不思議を生み出すのは、とても気持ちがいいことです。

 

絵を描く感覚は、何の計画も下書きも何も考えずに本能的に手から自然に出てきます。紙、ガラス、木、麻、流木、ゴミとなった木のパネルなど、「感覚と感情」をベースに、幸せと痛みを同時に解放しながら、完全に自由な発想で描いています。

 

Biography

 

アントンW.ハーシェは1957年のスイス、バーゼル（芸術の街）生まれで、仕事であった、銀行員、企業家と両立しながら50年以上も独自のアートの技術を磨いてきました。スイス、ドイツ、アメリカ、シンガポールと日本で25年住んだ後、2021年に仕事から引退して、今は現代アート制作に100％集中している。数々の作品はこちらのウェブサイトよりご参照いただけます。www.antonhersche.com

 

Influences

 

私の作品は、バスラー・ファスナハトの美学や、アメリカンインディアンやオーストラリアのアボリジニのネイティブアートからインスパイヤされてます。痛みから満足感に至るまでの感情のキズ跡を持つ素材の傷を追うことによって。
